Products

Gulf Petrol Supplies (Bunkers) deals in marine fuels to caters to its worldwide based cliental. We deal IN – Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO) – IFO 380 CST RMG and IFO 180 CST RME and Low Sulfur Marine Gas Oil (LSMGO) , to cater to our clients different fuel requirements . All our products as ISO 8217 compliant and as per Marpol Annex VI .

FUEL OIL

– IFO (Intermediate Fuel Oil) or HFO as it is called in a generic terminology, used in the shipping industry for the fuel which is used as a marine fuel to drive the propellers of the ship . They are classified and named according to their viscosity and the most commonly used types are IFO 180 and IFO 380. All the Fuels confers to ISO 8217:: 2010 specs and Marpol Annex IV . IFO is classified into various sub grades depending upon its viscosity and knocking property. The most commonly one used and readily available worldwide are as below:

  • IFO 380 CST – The most commonly used and widely available Fuel Oil is IFO 380 CST. This has a max viscosity of 380 centistokes.
  • IFO 180 CST – Mostly used by older ships to burn and propel, IFO 180 CST has a viscosity of max 180 centistrokes.

MARINE GAS OIL

– MARINE GAS OIL or MGO as it is commonly referred to . Marine gasoil usually consists of a blend of various distillates and is similar to diesel fuel, but has a higher density. The basic requirements for marine fuels are defined in the ISO 8217 standard. The quality grades DMX, DMA, DMB and DMZ according to ISO 8217 “Petroleum Products – Fuel (class F)” are also commonly referred to as marine gasoil.

SIRE Approved Barges : Both of our barges are sire approved and GPS bunkers keep on following and doing all the regular inspection as per local and international requirement as and when due and required.

Bunker Operations


GPS Bunkers supplies are conducted by fully-owned double-hull bunker barges to vessels at anchorage and at berth in Fujairah and Khorfakkan (if requested in advance at berth). All our bunker supplies and sampling is done in full compliance with MARPOL Annex VI regulations. Bunker Operations ways are safe, reliable, cost-efficient and environmentally responsible. The main condition of the operation is to be sure that it has being carried out in a reasonable way with a high level of safety.

Logistics and Storage


GPS Chemoil is a joint venture between Gulf Petrol Supplies and Chemoil Energy Limited. GPS Chemoil owns and operates two state of the art oil storage terminals in Fujairah that provide storage facilities for the whole range of petroleum products. The extensive pipeline network of GPS Chemoil terminals provides optimum connections to all other oil terminals in Fujairah and to all the berths at Port of Fujairah’s Oil Tanker Terminal.
